Research interests
Our research aims at determining, understanding, and quantifying chemical processes in the atmosphere. For this purpose, state-of-the-art analytical instruments are developed and deployed to study the underlying chemical reactions of gas-phase species, both under controlled conditions in the laboratory as well as directly in the atmosphere. Of specific interest are processes that lead to formation and loss of ozone and its precursors from the atmosphere. Questions of relevance from an environmental point of view are being investigated using analytical, physical, and atmospheric chemistry techniques.
