Research interests
Dr. Swaddle's research involves mainly inorganic solution chemistry, particularly with regard to reaction kinetics and mechanisms.
Teaching interests
Dr. Swaddle retired from formal teaching in 2002, but has taught inorganic, physical, nuclear and engineering chemistry at levels ranging from freshman to graduate. He is the author of the textbooks "Applied Inorganic Chemistry" (University of Calgary Press, 1990) and "Inorganic Chemistry: An Industrial and Environmental Perspective" (Academic Press, 1997).
