Liam Fryatt

It is with great sadness that we share that Liam Fryatt, a Faculty of Science and chemistry student passed on Feb. 23, 2023. He is survived by his loving parents Catherine and Ken Fryatt; his older brothers Dylan and Kyle, grandparents Neil and Glenda Penner, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends — too many to list.

Liam had a large circle of upstanding wonderful friends who played an enormous part in his life. They were vitally important to him, and he loved every one of them. Liam’s family has received many testimonies about how Liam was a completely unique gentle soul, he had a kind heart and could always make his friends laugh and feel good even when they weren't. He warmly welcomed new people to his friends’ circle and always took the time to talk and make sure everyone felt included. Liam's friends have been very supportive to his family during this time, and they are very thankful. Liam is deeply loved and profoundly missed.

Liam was a very busy young man and completing a very challenging chemistry degree. He worked part time at 4th Spot restaurant, spent hours at the gym body building, and always made time for friends and family. Liam was very active growing up, attending Beavers and Cubs, played hockey for the McKnight Mustangs, and enjoyed downhill skiing. He was very passionate about watching hockey, especially the Boston Bruins, and to a slightly lesser degree the Calgary Flames.

Liam’s family would like to thank their families and friends, for the amazing amount of support that they have received. It has touched their hearts and lightened their burden.
