In Memoriam: Quasar Evano

Quasar Sto. Tomas Evano, the firstborn of Quay and Nova, passed away on April 1, 2025 at the young age of 19 years old.
Quasar graduated in 2023 from St. Mary’s High School and was in his second year at the University of Calgary working towards a BSc in Chemistry.
Quasar had a great passion for friends, family, adventure, travelling, sports and most importantly music. He listened to all genres from hip-hop, rap, techno, punk, rock, heavy metal, alternative to all the way to classical, He was a musician who played the drums, bass and the flute, but it was drumming that he lived and breathed for and was forming a band with his friends. He loved drawing, dancing, singing, rapping, bouldering and skateboarding. He was a deep thinker who wrote poems and songs too.
Quasar will be deeply missed for his crazy big smile, warm personality and insatiable hunger to learn and to be great at many things. He easily made friends wherever he went and just like his name, his presence glowed bright on any occasion.
Quasar is survived by his dad, mom and his sister Qyrie. He is also survived by his grandfather Vic Sto. Tomas and grandmother Marietta P. Evano as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
Quasar may be gone too soon but he will be dearly missed, and he will continue to shine bright in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.
