Technovation Girls 2022 semi-finals

The University of Calgary's Department of Computer Science works with local area schools and community groups to support Technovation Girls, and we'd like to congratulate two of our teams who placed in the 2022 Technovation semi-finals!

• In the Senior Division, Blu3Whale ED is a team which has created an app, Blu3Whale ED, designed to provide young people suffering from eating disorders with the tools, information, and resources to help manage these conditions
   
• In the Junior Division, The Upper Moons is a team which has created SkinWise, an app which uses a machine learning model to help diagnose skin cancers such as melanoma, with approximately 70% accuracy.
