Professor published in European Journal of International Law
Professor Anna-Maria Hubert has published an article exploring the interplay of human rights law and environmental law.
“The Human Right to Science and its Relationship to International Environmental Law” explores whether international human rights guarantees, specifically, those laid down in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, may be used to strengthen the effectiveness, legitimacy, and democratic accountability of science and its applications in international environmental regimes. The article is featured in the recent issue of the European Journal of International Law, and includes a reply from Melbourne Law School Professor Jacqueline Peel, a leading international expert in the field of environmental and climate change law.
