If you are interested in becoming an Engineering Geologist, Geophysicist, Hydrogeologist, Palaeontologist, Volcanologist, Geochemist, Geobiologist, Science Educator, or Entrepreneur, then this program is for you!
The Department of Earth, Energy, and Environment offers students the opportunity to focus their studies in several areas of interest. We currently offer two degree programs related to Earth Science: BSc Geology and BSc Geophysics.
The BSc Geology program has two streams: Hydrogeology/Environmental and Solid Earth Geoscience. A stream is a suggested set of courses, and does not appear on your transcript. The first two years of both degree programs are the same. Please note that following a stream is not required, and students are encouraged to gain a broad background in geoscience throughout their degree.
Science Internship Program
The Science Internship Program offers Science students the opportunity to participate in 8 to 16 consecutive months of work experience. Gain real life experience in the field by considering the Science Internship Program.
