Field Safety Procedure
1. Create Procedural Documents: Adhere to the University of Calgary Field Safety Standard to draft procedural documents.
2. Submission Process: Submit the procedural documents to the Faculty of Science Review Team via the appropriate email address listed below, at least 10 business days prior to the start of the activity:
- For Research-related activities: sci.fieldresearch@ucalgary.ca
- For Teaching-related activities: sci.fieldschools@ucalgary.ca
3. Participant Training: Ensure all participants in field activities complete the mandatory field safety online training course before departure.
4. Review and Approval:
- Upon submission, the review team may request additional information.
- After final review, the documents will be forwarded to the respective Department Head or Program Director for final approval.
