Tours of the observatory
Do you have an organization or youth group that would like to visit the Rothney Astrophysical Observatory (RAO)? Book a tour and see the awesome 1.8 metre ARCT and the amazing 0.5 metre Baker-Nunn telescope. The RAO also has an interpretive centre with classroom facilities as well as educational displays. Visits can be tailored to the desires and needs of your organization or youth group. A minimum of 10 people is required to book a tour.
Please note we do not offer private group bookings.
Meeting space rentals
Our interpretive centre can be rented to groups seeking to host a meeting at a unique venue. Our classroom can accommodate 100 people and has presentation facilities (LCD data projector, loudspeaker system with wireless microphone and wireless internet access). We also have an outdoor amphitheatre space. The facility has ample parking, bathrooms and is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us for pricing information.
