URSCA 2019

April 28 - 29

The Undergraduate Research in Science Conference of Alberta (URSCA) is a celebration of Alberta discovery and innovation at the earliest stage of post-secondary education. Gone are the days when most researchers began their original research at the graduate level. Increasingly, student-focused, research intensive institutions are not only encouraging hands-on undergraduate research in the laboratory and in the fieldl but are also providing a wide range of experiential education opportunities, from independent and applied studies, to co-operative education and work-integrated-learning placements, study abroad programs and groundbreaking, publishable research with faculty mentors. Bright, liberally-educated minds are our future – and they are putting theory into practice in laboratories and in the field across this great province.

After very successful URSCA meetings at Grant MacEwan, The King's, Mount Royal, and Lethbridge, the University of Calgary is proud to host URSCA 2019.  URSCA is an opportunity to share your amazing research accomplishments with your peers and potential future supervisors.

  • April 28 – Evening reception and guest speaker opening remarks.
  • April 29 – Talks and posters with judging, afternoon keynote speaker and award presentations.
