What's available?
Exchange programs are usually 1-2 semesters in length, with academic courses transferred into your degree program.
Group study programs are intensive, immersive experiences led by a UCalgary instructor. Travel with a group to complete UCalgary courses abroad for a truly ‘off-campus’ experience or complete hybrid or virtual programs.
Research placements and internships vary in length but typically take place over 6-12 weeks. Under the supervision of an experienced faculty member, participate in novel research in your field. Most research placements are experience-based and do not offer academic credit.
Funding supports
Access funding through the IDEAS Fund to fuel your experiential activities and find additional funding sources for study and research abroad from UC International.
Global Community Challenge YYC
Join an international team of peers to create innovative solutions to real-world challenges facing local organizations in Calgary.
