Quantum Computing: Current Students (MOCKUP)
Pathways
The Professional Graduate Program in Quantum Computing at the University of Calgary is an intensive, course-based program designed to be completed in one year. As quantum computing technology emerges and gradually becomes commercialized, the program will equip students with the critical expertise needed to apply and integrate quantum technologies with existing IT infrastructure.
As our Graduate Professional Program’s courses are taught according to a non-standard schedule, they have different add, drop, and withdrawal deadlines. Please refer to the Student Centre for deadlines specific to courses with a non-standard schedule.

Internship, Research or Capstone: What to Expect
You’ll choose between:
- A capstone project-based experience, or
- A competitive internship opportunity, or
- Research with a faculty member.
You are guaranteed an opportunity to apply your knowledge, and we have an array of flexible options that will allow you to practice your new skills. Think of this as your chance to apply what you’ve learned and demonstrate your value in the marketplace—with our support behind you.

Program Progression
Please refer to Course Registration Guides for instructions on managing course enrollment in your Student Centre.
Please contact our office at prograd.science@ucalgary.ca to drop, withdraw, or change your course registration, as program consent is required.
Poor academic standing is defined by anyone, or combination, of the following conditions:
- A student receives a "C+" or lower in any one course.
- A student does not maintain an annual GPA of at least 3.00 calculated each year at the time of their registration anniversary.
A student who is in poor academic standing will normally be required to withdraw from the program.

The Academic Calendar provides important information regarding the regulations of the University and of your program. It is every University of Calgary student's responsibility to know and comply with the relevant regulations. Being familiar with the information contained in the Calendar will also assist you in
planning and moving through your program successfully.

Important Dates
Please ensure you are familiar with the start and end dates, as well as the drop deadlines, for your classes.
Please contact our office at prograd.science@ucalgary.ca to drop, withdraw, or change your course registration, as program consent is required.
When a class is dropped before its drop deadline, the course will not appear on your academic transcript and charges for the course will not be applied.
When a class is removed after its drop deadline but before its withdrawal deadline, a ‘W’ will be placed on your academic transcript and charges will still apply.
Deadlines are found on the Home Page of your Student Centre as part of the Enrolled Courses table.
