Undergraduate award for research on the ethics of currency
The University of Calgary Students’ Union held a gala reception on Thursday, November 28, 2019 to celebrate the winners of the 14th annual Students’ Union’s Undergraduate Research Symposium.
BA Honours in Philosophy student Alexandra Sellers received a Faculty of Arts award for her Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS) poster and presentation entitled "Ethically-Justifiable Cryptocurrency Fencing: Philosophical Research on the Ethics of Currency Limitations."
This award was given to a student in the Faculty of Arts "whose research demonstrates both exceptional skills in their field of study and the potential for global or community leadership."
The URS, presented by the Students’ Union, “is an opportunity for undergraduate students from all faculties to showcase their exceptional research alongside their peers to the broader campus community. It is an accessible, multidisciplinary event for students to acquire academic presentation experience while providing exposure to all types of research and resources at the University of Calgary."
